Welcome to Penobscot Stained Glass

Welcome to Penobscot Stained Glass! My items can be found at Southwest Harbor Artisans in Southwest Harbor, a cooperative gallery of ALL Maine-made items. We had a great year last summer despite Main Street being torn up all summer long, and this year should be even better. We'll be open year-round from now on as well, and will take up the entire Main St. storefront of the building.  Please visit the gallery on Main Street when they open sometime near Memorial Day, 2016! (I will post the exact date when it is finalized). I am delivering new pieces to the Gallery on Saturday, April 30 and it is very exciting! Among other items will be my large Lupine round panel, pictured below. This took a month to make and will be priced at $450.00. Other items are mosaic glass jars with lids, hanging painted butterflies, and more. Please follow Southwest Harbor Artisans on Facebook using the link above, and I hope to see you sometime this summer!

Current News

During the  summer of 2011 I  learned the ancient technique of glass painting, using a kiln, the same style you see in old churches... I have had a ball with it and am making new pieces continually. Below is a "Big Blue" butterfly which I have hanging from a jewelry-size chain. More hanging butterflies to come... I will be making a swallowtail but I also have a Monarch which will be at the gallery this summer.

Below are some of my glass mosaic jars... perfect for candles on the deck in the summer...

 My first Madonna

...  These are my painted Monarch butterflies (on brass posts, great for gardens). These actually can withstand a Maine winter, believe it or not!
